design service
XAVIER&ME can provide assistance in designing or choosing the right rug for your home. The process is simple:
1. Email me with plans or a rough layout & dimensions of your room including floor type & colour, furniture placement and style. If you want to change the colours, please advise. We can colour match to a artwork, paint or fabric sample.
2. Choose design from our collection
3. We will send you a room mock up with rug selection including furniture placement

how your rug is made
XAVIER&ME rugs are all hand-knotted in India or Nepal. Hand-knotted pieces tend to be higher in quality because of the intensive labour required for weavers to tie individual pile yarns around the rugs warp, the lengthwise section of the rug. Densely knotted rugs have a fine, taut surface.

advantages of Hand Made Rugs
Handmade wool rugs last a lot longer and wear a lot better
Hand made rugs are better quality. Making a hand made rug requires far more skill and precision.
Our hand made rugs are made with only the best natural fibres, like 100% New Zealand wool.
A hand-knotted rug can last for 70 years – even longer when kept well.
A hand made rug won’t start to show signs of wear and tear until at least 30 years of age
Some of our hand made rugs may share the same design name but no two rugs are perfectly identical.
This makes every Xavier&Me rug unique.
